The following document is the only known record of the initiation of this work, in conjunction with the Nature Conservancy Council. The table is the only current record of the first plantings of the chosen [listed] rare[r] weeds. The source is not confirmed as the NCC but may have been so. The table records that the field was planted in November 1986, so it is likely the project was initiated that year but the project notes are undated.
