The Butser Ancient Farm Project was plagued by the need to seek funding from the earliest days right up to today.
Publicity of any sort was and is its lifeblood. The title of this page and the glowing front cover of the publication is indicative of what was resorted to. Since the copy is undated by year, the coming of age of Prince Andrew is the guide!
The report, based on an interview with Peter Reynolds, is more mundane but there is reference at the end to the fact that the "Warrior Queen", put out by ITV, was set at the Farm. Over the years Butser has been selected as a film site for many different type of project and this has been a helpful source of income. However, fees have fallen in real terms, to the detriment of the operations.
