Within Europe, concurrent with Peter Reynolds work at Butser, there was a growing movement involving Experimental Archaeology. The European Science Foundation was instrumental in formulating a workshop embracing various aspects of EA on "Wooden Buildings". Peter Reynolds was invited to join the Organising Committee.
The following letters and papers outline the topics and when and where the workshop was held.
The unpublished draft Proceedings were made available to EXARC early in 2007 and it is hoped they will be able to publish them over time, albeit belatedly.
